Is it possible to improve the World with a better connection between animals and people?

I have been thinking a lot about this Mahatma Gandhi quote.
We can all improve if we are willing to be more compassionate towards animals on our planet.
There are so many small things we can do to improve the lives of all beings and with love and compassion we become more tolerant and forgiving, but this doesn´t mean that we have the right to torture,captivate and kill animals for our own needs. There is a reason why we share this planet with other forms of life, so we need to become more aware of how we are living and the effects our actions have. Just one little change for the better makes a difference!
